Until 2003, the near -derelict pool was a Lily pond.

The pool fell into disuse sometime after Violet Jenkin's demise, anecdotes had it still operational until at least the 1950's, however the current owners found it in complete disrepair when they acquired the property in 1987. They found it still held water despite several cracks, and planted waterlilies, which the frogs appreciated by multiplying rapidly

To make an omelette, eggs must be broken!

The pool was emptied in 2004, when the renovations began in earnest. Many years of accumulated rubbish were uncovered.

Mud city!

The pool is quite deep, about 2.2 metres, as it originally had a diving board. At 10 metres X 4metres, it holds 70,000 litres.
