James Boag II

James Boag II bought Strathesk House in 1895. This is a photo of him, and his signature, from that period.

Strathesk House 1940's

This is a photo by a well-known photographer named Spurling. The photo shows the balcony which was rebuilt by James Boag approximately 1910, also the original Victorian finials on the gable ends, which still exist today.

Kit - 1940's

This photo is of one of the daughters of Kathleen, who lived in the cottage during this time - note the size of the Palm tree, which is now more than 8 metres tall

Another photo contemporary with the preceding photo of Kit. These were given to the present owners by decendants.
