"Violet's" at Strathesk House has recently been awarded a five star rating by the RACT.

Strathesk House is delighted to announce that “Violet’s” , our latest renovated apartment, has received a 5 Star rating from the RACT.

This is Launceston’s first, and so far only, holiday apartment to receive this internationally recognised award.

Violet’s is named after Matron Violet Jenkins, one of Strathesk House’s more notable owners, who lived in this part of the old mansion.

The owner/operators, Mark and Karen Bartkevicius, would like to thank the team of dedicated trades and service people who worked on the renovation through the latter part of 1998. We are proud that work of this standard can be achieved through the skills within the people of Launceston.

Strathesk House is one of the small, but high quality heritage accommodation establishments for which Tasmania is becoming increasingly recognised. Typically, our clientele is a sophisticated group who want a more individual and personal experience than can be offered by major hotels. They are here for the culture, heritage, fine food and wine, the craft, antiques, and the clean, green environment.
